Changzhou: Budding Indian shuttler P V Sindhu displayed a great game of badminton to upset eight seeded Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand in the second round of the Li Ning China Masters Badminton Tournament here today.
World No 24 Sindhu, the lone Indian woman in the competition beat the world No 14 Thai 10-21, 21-7, 21-19.
Meanwhile India’s Gurusaidutt also pulled up a stunning victory over compatriot Parupalli Kashyap to enter the men's singles quarter-finals.
Gurudatt beat his fancied opponent 16-21, 21-18, 21-4.
He would now face top seeded Chinese Chen Long whereas Sindhu will be up against second seed Li Xuerui of China in the quarters.
