New York: Leander Paes and his partner Radek Stepanek cruised into the semi-finals of the US Open men's doubles event after they beat Julian Knowle and Filip Polasek in straight sets.
The fifth-seeded Indo-Czech combo beat Austria-Slovak 6-2 6-4 in a match that lasted for 74 minutes.
Paes and Stepanek converted two of the five breakpoints, while their opponents failed to earn a single breakpoint.
The Indo-Czech pair will now take on the sixth seeded Spanish combo of Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez, who beat Bruno Soares of Brazil and Austria's Alexander Peya 6-3 6-4.
