Paul Hunter Classic: Advani advances into the pre-quartersFurth, Germany: Ace Indian snooker player Pankaj Advani stamped his authority on Day 2 of the European Tour 2 Paul Hunter Classic as he won three back to back matches at the Professional Snooker Circuit here.

The seventh time World Champion cueist from India won the first game of the day against Martin O’ Donnell 4-0 in the best of seven frames.

He then went on to beat Ian Burns of England 4-1.

His biggest test of the day came in the last game when he met former World No.1 John Higgins of Scotland.

Advani made a jittery start and conceded the first frame but then equalised it the next one.

After the second frame, the Indian was unstoppable and he carried forward all the subsequent frames to win the match 4-1.

The 27 year old Indian will now face Englishman Mark King for a place in the quarterfinals.
