London: India’s Sudha Singh failed to qualify for the 3000 metres women’s steeplechase of the London Olympics after she finished a disappointing 13th out of 15 competitors in the first heat here today.

The top four runners from the first heat who qualifed for Monday's final are Gesa Felicitas Krause of Germany (9:24.91s), Eithopia's Etenesh Diro (9:25.31s), Kenya’s Milcah Chemos Cheywa (9:27.09s) and Latvia's Polina Jelizarova (9:27.21s).
