London: India’s only judo player in London Olympics, Garima Chaudhary lost her first elimination round against Yoshie Ueno in the 63kg category. Garima’s Olympic campaign just lasted for 81 seconds as her opponent won the match in a blink of an eye.
Garima failed to put any points on the board and lost 0-100 against one of the best players in the world.
The contest was stopped by the referee in the 81st second and Ueno was awarded an 'Ippon' which in Judo means maximum points for pinning the opponent with his/her back touching the mat for 25 seconds.
