Shooters Sanjiv, Shagun arrives at Games Village

Joydeep KarmakarLondon: Shooters Sanjeev Rajput and Shagun Choudhary joined the Olympic Games Village on Wednesday thus making a total of five male and one female shooter so far.

Meanwhile the archers went for training at the Lords Cricket Ground while the shooters went for their practices at the Shooting Range and the weightlifters had their workouts at the Excel Stadium. The weather being most unpredictable with intermittent rains and bright sunshine is a real nightmare for those who are not accustomed to this variation in temperatures.

“As more and more athletes and officials are entering the Games Village, the atmosphere is getting positive and vibrant. There is plenty of bonhomie and camaraderie in the Dining Hall when people from different countries meet each other and exchange pleasantries. The Indian Team is eagerly awaiting the introduction of the Indian & Asian Food Counter from tomorrow ie.19 July as they are missing their home food. However, there is plenty of variety and the McDonalds is a great hit with the athletes and officials,” says a official press release.

Amongst the officials who joined the contingent were Press Attache Harpal Singh Bedi, Dr Sarala Rao, Dr Sanjogita Soodan and Physiotherapist Ramesh Trivedi from the medical team.
