World Jr. Squash: Mahesh, Anaka lose in quarters

Anaka, Mahesh in quarter of World Junior SquashDoha: Mahesh Mangaonkar and Anaka Alankamony lost their quarterfinal matches in the World Junior Individual Squash Championship. Mangaonkar lost to second seeded Mohamed Abouelghar 10-12, 8-11, 11-9, 12-10, 12-10 and Anaka lost her match against Yathreb Adel 4-11, 5-11, 11-5, 9-11.

Mangaonkar fought hard in the match that lasted for 90 minutes. Mangaonkar won the first two games and looked all set to win the match, but his opponent had different plans as second seeded Egyptian came back strongly to win the following three games to qualify for the finals.

Anaka on the other hand had a bad start to the match as she lost the first two games quite easily. She came back strongly in the third game and won the game to ensure it was not a cakewalk for her Egyptian opponent. However, in the fourth game Adel ensured that the does not go into the deciding game.
