London: Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina upstaged top seeds Bob Bryan and Liezel Huber to enter the mixed doubles final at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships here Saturday.
The Indo-Russian pair beat the Americans 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 in a hard-fought semi-final. The fourth seeds meet another American combine of Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond in the final Sunday.
Bryan-Raymond, seeded second, defeated Serbia Nenad Zimonjic and Slovak Katarina Srebotnik 6-3, 6-4 in the other last fourclash.
Paes-Vesnina served better than their opponents and converted half of their six break points, making the difference in a match lasting close to two hours.
Paes will be aiming for his fourth mixed doubles title at the All England Club Sunday after victories in 1999, 2003 and 2010. (IANS)
