Madrid: It was a lucky day at work for Indians at the ATP Madrid Masters as the Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi- Rohan Bopanna and the Indo-Czech duo of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek moved into the pre-quarters finals round after getting byes in their respective first round match ups.
Paes-Stepanek seeded fifth in the tournament would now face off against the winner of the match between Gael Monfils/Richard Gasquet and Sergei Bubka/Javier Marti whereas Bhupathi-Bopanna will square off against the winner of the tie Christopher Kas/ Santiago Gonzalez and Oliver Marach/Alexander Peya in order to secure place in the quarters.
