Goa: Pankaj Advani defeated Thai Thawat Sujaritthurakarn in the finals to win the 11th ONGC Asian Billiards Championship. Advani started the game on a positive note and clinched the first game.
Sujaritthurakarn came back strongly and one two back-to-back games and took the lead 2-1. But, in the fourth game ace Indian player Advani played some great shots to equalize.
Advani never looked back after the fourth game and won the next three games and took a lead of 5-2.
Thawat did get a consolation win in the eighth game but, that was never enough as Advali sealed the ninth game of the match and with that the title as well.
