Indian Wells: The seventh seeded pair of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek defeated the pair of Juan Monaco and Kei Nishikori, 7-6(5), 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals of the ongoing ATP Indian Wells Masters Tennis Tournament.
The Indo- Czech has been in good form of recently and is the winners of the Australian Open this year. The pair did get a tough resistance from their unseeded opponent’s and the first set went into the tie-breaker. After the initial struggle the Australian Open winners emerged winners as they cruised through the second set.
With this win Paes and Stepanek have set a mouth-watering clash with Marc Lopez and Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. They defeated D Ferrer and A Ramos 6-3, 6-3 in the first round.
