No 1 in WTA double ranking, Sania Mirza is India’s most successful female tennis players. She is also the first Indian woman to win a Grand Slam title. She had a wonderful 2015-16 where she made a formidable pair with Martina Hingis. She also went on to win the Wimbledon and the US Open alongside Hingis last year and was named in TIME magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential People in the World this year. 2. Jwala Gutta
The left-handed Hyderabadi has won the National Badminton Championships not once but 14 times. She is the country's most successful doubles player. Jwala has won numerous medals, including gold and silver at 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games, respectively in women's doubles. She was awarded by Arjuna Award in 2011. Gutta has been listed as the most inspirational sportswomen from India on numerous occasions. She is known for her sharp wit, beauty and a confident approach.
3. PV Sindhu
An amalgamation of flair and character, Sindhu has been dishing out the kind of stuff that raises hopes of a bright future. Sindhu, off late, has shown enough will power that has helped her in paving her way in a sport considered to be highly competitive. She not only became the first Indian woman sportsperson to win a silver medal at the Olympics in Rio, in the process also came out of the shadow of more illustrious Saina Nehwal, who had been the best India had seen in women badminton till then. 4. Nicollet is the Indo French professional golfer from Bangalore, India. She started playing golf in age of eleven and turned professional in 2009 when she was 18-year-old. Nicollet has represented India at the Asian Games at Doha 2006 and youngest Indian golfer to qualify for Ladies European Tour. Her looks and sharp features besides her golfing ability indeed make her a must on this list.
5. This beauty with brains is an Indian chess player. At the age of eight, she won her first International title. She became the eighth Indian player to be awarded the Woman Grandmaster title in 2005 and won India's National Women's Premier Chess Championship in 2006 and 2007. She was conferred with the Arjuna Award in 2009. The gorgeous looking Delhi girl could often be seen walking on the ramp for famous designers.
6. Saina Nehwal
Saina Nehwal is regarded as the princess of Indian badminton. She is first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal, first to win Commonwealth Gold in women’s singles. She has won over 20 international titles, which include 10 Superseries titles. She is also first Indian athlete who won the World Junior and Commonwealth Youth titles. In 2009 she attained the World No 2 ranking, but the year 2015 brought her the No. 1 ranking she had dreamt of and been working so hard for. Her natural beauty and glare has made her feature on ramps. Hyderabad Fashion weeks were first shows she walked the ramp for famous designers.
7. Dipika Pallikal is one of the most beautiful and glamorous squash players who often makes headlines by winning international tournaments. Born in Chennai , she started playing when she was in sixth grade. She was ranked in top 10 in the Women's squash world rankings. She came into spotlight in 2011, when she won three Women's International Squash Player's Association tour title. In 2012, she was conferred with India's second highest sporting award Arjuna award. It is not only her game but also sensational looks that has graced numerous glamour magazines. She is married to cricketer Dinesh Karthik.
8. Kyra Shroff
Shroff is one of the most gorgeous tennis players of India who has set the milestone for many players. She started playing tennis at an age of 10. Mumbai's Kyra who was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 12 could not stop herself from playing the game she loved. The turning point of shroff was when she won U-18 singles tournament in 2008. Till date, Shroff has won 12 Singles and 15 doubles All India Tennis Association. Syra's current singles ranking is 685 and current doubles ranking is 365.

Recently in news because of her marriage to India pace bowler Ishant Sharma, Pratima Singh is the youngest of the five sisters from the famous “Singh Sisters” brigade from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and has been playing for India along with her sisters since long. The 26-year-old was part of both the college (Jesus and Mary) and Delhi University basketball teams and is now a permanent fixture in the national team. 10. Prashanti Singh
Prashanti Singh, one of the sisters from the “Singh Sisters” brigade from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has been an integral part of the Indian basketball squad. In 2003, Prashanti became the captain of the Indian team. She is one of the top players sponsored by the Basketball Federation of India. Prashanti Singh has won 23 medals in National Championship. She is the only women basketball player in India to represent the National team in one 2006 Commonwealth Games & two Asian Games 2010, 2014, respectively. She was the team captain in 2016 South Asian Games, Guwahati. Tall and beautiful, she has all the qualities to be in the tinsel world.
