Miami: Agnieszka Radwanska has taken another step forward to consolidate the number three position on the ranking charts by winning the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami on Saturday.

The world number player from Poland beat world number two Maria Sharapova of Russia 7-5, 6-4 to win her fifth WTA Premier event in the last 9 months. Radwanska now has 26 wins the year and has only four losses with all of them coming to one player Victoria Azarenka.

Radwanska broke Sharapova's at critical times - at 6-5 in the first set and 5-4 in the second - to win the title.
