Miami: World number one Novak Djokovic from Serbia beat Argentine Juan Monaco 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) on Friday to cruise into the finals of the Sony Ericsson Open played here.
The Serb would now meet World number four Andy Murray who was lucky to have to get his second walkover of the week after Rafael Nadal of Spain pulled out of the match due to a chronic knee injury.
Monaco, who qualified for the semis against all the odds ran out of the fuel on the day and could not offer much resistance to Djokovic who in turn wrapped up the first set in 27 minutes.
But the Argentine played with grit in the next round and was able to push the match into tie-breaker, but that was a consolation for him as he eventually lost the match.
