Miami: Former World number one Maria Sharapova cruised into her first final of the year after she saw off Caroline Wozniacki at the Sony Ericsson Open on Thursday here. She defeated Wozniacki 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

The 24-year-old Russian who has entered the finals of the event for four time but never could emerge victorious had 50 winners and 46 unforced errors and took more than two hours to wrap up the proceedings.

Meanwhile Agnieszka Radwanska beat Marion Bartoli 6-4 6-2 to reach make it to the finals and set up a showdown with Maria Sharapova.
