Indian Wells, California: Indian ace Sania Mirza and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina had to fight it hard against Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka as they came from behind to beat the Czech duo 5-7, 7-5, 10-3 to cruise into the finals of the BNP Paribas Open here on Friday.
In a match that lasted for 1hr 45 min, the third seeded pair won 25 out of 42 points as compared to their Czech opponents managed to win only 32 out 56 points.
Sania and Vesnina will now face off against the winner of the other semifinal between number one seeded USA combo of Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond and Czech pair of Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.
