He has got one elder sister Swapna. He has completed his schooling through the National Open School and he got his Tennis training from Krishnan Tennis Centre, HPTC in Chennai. He got his highest ranking as No. 9 in the ITF Junior Rankings.
He succeeded to reach in the second round of 2006 French Open Junior tournament. He also succeeded in junior Wimbledon, U.S. Open, and Australian Open tournaments. He captured a Grade-I clay tournament in Germany in 2006 and succeeded to win a junior Davis Cup regional.
