Sandeep Singh is one of the world’s most dangerous drag-flicker at the current moment and is considered as India’s best chance to win a medal in upcoming London Olympics. The India men's national field hockey team has qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London after a gap of 8 years.

The team had a convincing victory over France in the finals of the Olympic qualifiers by beating France 8-1. Sandeep Singh, was the star of the final against France  scoring five goals - including a hat-trick - all from penalty corners.
