Danish Mujtaba made his way after doing well at the junior level. A product of Delhi based Air India-SAI National Hockey Academy; he also represented Jamia Milia in the college circuit.

After many junior international matches, he figured in the Junior World Cup at Singapore/ Malaysia in 2009. He made his senior international debut in 2009 under Coach Jose Brasa. He was the surprise inclusion for the 2010 World Cup and has performed well since then. Danish Mujtaba played a crucial role in the Indian team’s unbeaten run in the Olympic qualifiers.
