New Delhi: Delhi shooters dominated in the shotgun events at 35th North Zone Shooting Championship, which concluded at Delhi's Karni Singh Shooting Range on Wednesday.
In women's double trap shooting (NR), all three medals were won by Delhi shooters. Aadya Tripathi won the gold medal with a score of 28 points, while the silver medal went to Varda Sharma (27 points), while Ayisha Falaq won the bronze medal with 26 points.
In women's double trap junior event, Aadya and Varda won gold and silver medals respectivelt, while Punjab's Inaya Vijay Singh won the broze medal.
Delhi's Karnik Raj Sharma achieved the best performance in double trap shooting (NR) by shooting 48 clays and won the silver medal. The event's gold medal was won by Haryana's Lakshjeet Singh Sandhu (50 points), while the bronze was also won by Haryana shooter Arjun Singh (42 points) in the double trap shooting (NR) Junior Championship.
Double trap shooting (ISSF) Men event's gold medal was clinched by Uttar Pradesh's Shardul Vihan with a score of 131 points. Aditya Vikram Singh of Delhi won the silver with 130 points, while Uttarakhand shooter Yogendrapal Singh Sansanwal had to be satisfied by Bronze medal with 124 points.
Uttar Pradesh's Shardul Vihan also won the double trap shooting (ISSF) Junior Men gold with 131 points, while Haryana's Bhawneesh Mendiratta bagged the silver medal at 130 points and Aditya Vikram Singh of Delhi won the the bronze on same score of 130 points.
