Guwahati: NorthEast United FC has partnered with India’s leading logistics solutions provider, DTDC, to administer the overall logistics. Owned by John Abraham, the football club is gearing up for the opening ceremony of Hero ISL 2016, to be held in their home ground, Indira Gandhi Stadium on October 1.
The opening ceremony, slated to be a gala star-studded affair, will clear the pavement for the first match of the championship, with the local favorites, NorthEast United FC taking on Kerala Blasters FC. The opening match is being awaited and anticipated by a house full of spectators, with the ticket counters already showing a Sold Out!
Competing for the title spot, NorthEast United FC had roped in the international star, Didier Zokora as its marquee. Furthermore, the envious line-up of players in the squad includes the Arjuna Awardee Subrata Paul and the young talent of child protégés, Jerry Mawihmingthanga and Lallianzuala Chhangte (Zuala).
