Pune: Looking to make its debut I-League season one to remember for its fans, DSK Shivajians Football Club has recently announced the signing up of leading Bollywood singer Shaan to give voice to their team anthem. The team song will be launched this Saturday with Shaan giving a live performance at DSK Shivajians’ home ground, Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, in Pune.
The launch of the club anthem will also coincide with the team’s first ever home match in the I-League, and will see DSK Shivajians FC take on Mohun Bagan, one of the biggest football clubs in India. The club has been performing admirably in the I-League so far, eking out a gritty goalless draw away to Sporting Clube de Goa in its first match of the current I-League season.
DSK Shivajians also partnered with Sports Ticketing website Get2TheGames, a venture of Sun Sports Private Limited. Portal deliver integrated sports ticketing & tourism experiences. Tickets for the DSK Shivajians first home game versus Mohun Bagan is available online and at the box office at Venue on the day of the game.
Speaking on the announcement, Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, President, DSK Shivajians FC, said, “The DSK Shivajians Football Club takes immense pride in being the sole representative of the city of Pune in the I-League. It is a measure of that pride that we have signed Shaan, an extremely talented and much renowned singer, to lend the voice to our team anthem.
