New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp Ltd, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, will be the new Title Sponsor of the The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for a period of one-year. With this sponsorship, the much-awaited 3rd season of CPL will be known as the ‘Hero Caribbean Premier League’.
Synonymous with some of the marquee sports partnerships in India as well as globally, Hero MotoCorp has for long had a steadfast commitment towards promoting various disciplines of sports including cricket, golf, football and hockey.
Hero has been associated with cricket for over two decades in various capacities. In 2007, Hero was the Global Partner of the ICC World Cup, held in West Indies. In CPL 2014, Hero MotoCorp was the Presenting Sponsor of CPL teams, St. Lucia Zouks, and defending champions, Barbados Tridents.

Renowned international cricketers, Kevin Pietersen, Jacques Kallis and Shahid Afridi, will join the Caribbean’s finest cricketers, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo. The tournament will also witness participation of talented local players from the Caribbean region.
CPL 2014 attracted a massive global audience in excess of 65 million. This number is expected to break all previous records to post record participation of spectators from around the world.
Hero MotoCorp has had a long association with cricket for more than two decades in various capacities. Hero was earlier one of the Global Partners of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and team sponsors of Delhi Daredevils and later of Mumbai Indians teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Hero has also been a keen promoter of Hockey, and is a long-term partner of FIH, the apex body of international hockey. Hero is also the Title Sponsor of the popular Hero Hockey India League. Hero is also the Title Sponsor of the Hero Indian Super League – the country’s first franchise-based football tournament.
As part of its brand building initiatives in global markets, Hero MotoCorp last year roped in 14 time Major winner Tiger Woods as its first Global Corporate Partner. Hero MotoCorp also became the Title Sponsor of the Hero World Challenge – a Tiger Woods Invitational and PGA-sanctioned event in the U.S, featuring top 18 golfers in the world.
In India, the company hosts the annual Hero Indian Open Golf tournament for both men and women. Hero also sponsors India’s domestic Pro Tour for women.
