Libero Sports India, Managing Director, Sukhvinder Singh is pleased with the fact that 2 of the South Asian countries are finding opportunities to play more international friendlies.
He said, “I positively believe that the competitive football in South Asian region can be managed and developed better by finding more opportunities for the National and Club teams to play more often either in the International Friendly format or creating series similar to the upcoming India Vs. Pakistan 2 match series to be held in August 2014. There is enough space in this region to have more competitions which are cost effective as well as more competitive with nations like Afghanistan and Nepal showing drastic improvements. India which was once the undisputed leaders are finding stiff challenges from the other SAARC countries.”
