New Delhi: Rohan Rana, the Round 1 top scorer from the Category ‘A’ Boys repeated his consistent performance to emerge as the leader of the 8th Usha DGC Juniors Golf Championship 2014, category ‘A’ and ‘B’ Boys combined, at the end of the Round 3. The tournament is underway at the Delhi Golf Club, Lodhi course and Peacock course.
Rana stitched together a string of 2 birdies and 1 bogey on the front 9 and 1 bogey coupled with a double bogey on the back 9 to score a total of 227 at the end of Round 3. Trailing behind Rana by a single stroke is Shubham Narain with a score of 228. The combined PAR score for Round 1, 2 and 3 of Rohan Rana is 11, followed by Shubham Narain at 12.
Kartik Sharma had a fair play today carding 1 birdie on the front 9 at the 5th hole and another one at the 14th hole to lie at a joint third position with Sunhit Bishnoi with a score of 230 at the end of Round 3. Kartik ended the day’s play with 1 bogey and a double bogey on the 7th and 9th hole respectively and another bogey on the 15th hole.
Trailing closely behind were Alammgir Grewal (233), Arjun Puri (235) and Daksh Shokeen (236) who secured the 4th, 5th and 6th positions respectively.
Young golfers, Rohan Rana and Shubham Narain are expected to strike a close combat tomorrow in the final round of the Usha DGC Juniors Golf Championship.
