Chennai: Aircel Chennai Open celebrated Stanislas Wawrinka's 300th match win on the ATP World Tour by cutting a special cake, courtesy the Hyatt Regency. Wawrinka was greeted to a laud applause and was surprised to see the cake as he entered the media centre for a post-match briefing.
With the 6-2, 6-1 win against Aljaz Bedene of Slovakia, 28-year old Wawrinka becomes just the fourth Swiss player to join the 300-win club after Roger Federer (923), Marc Rosset (433) and Jakob Hlasek (432).
