Mumbai: 35 future cricketing champions from India and abroad are coming together for a unique, week-long training experience at the National Cricket Academy in Alur, Karnataka.
Taking place from Sep 9 to Sep 14, 2013, this training camp will see star players, handpicked from the Red Bull Campus Cricket World Finals that concluded in March 2013, train under industry experts like Vijay Bharadwaj – former Indian cricketer, KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association) and RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) Coach; Subroto Banerjee – Ex India, NCA Coach and Jharkhand Coach; Balachandra Akhil – KSCA and RCB ex-player; R Sridhar – Level 3 Coach; and Sudarshan V – physio and trainer KSCA.
The programme will give these young players an opportunity to hone their skills and learn from the seasoned coaches.
From the 9th to 12th September 2013, the participating players will undergo intensive drills, net practices and attend various informative sessions on strength and conditioning, clinical management of injuries and prehab sessions. There will also be several interactive sessions on work ethic, approach, the art of fast bowling and handling pressure. The masterclass is meant to help these players evolve and get better at their game, while also developing their mental fitness and attitude towards the sport.
The Red Bull Campus Cricket – Game of The Champions will conclude with these young players applying their skills and competing against each other in some friendly matches on Sep 13 and 14 at the Aditya Birla Ground.
