Red Bull to host an exciting three day BMX Flatland workshop in Pune starting 10th June – 12th June with Japanese BMX Flatland sensation Yohei Uchino aka Ucchie.
Flatland is a freestyle BMX riding style and a form of artistic cycling with a blend of breakdancing. Yohei Uchino aka Ucchie is one of the most well-known Japanese BMX Flatland riders in the world. He was mentioned as the World's No. 1 BMX Flatland rider and was rewarded the best BMX Flatland rider award in the NORA CUP sponsored by "RIDEBMX", the American BMX magazine. His original trick, Ucchie Spin, came into fashion in 2003 and has had a huge influence upon BMX Flatland riders all over the world.
In an event like never before, Red Bull has invited Indian BMX Flatland athletes to share a video showcasing their incredible and unique BMX Flatland moves by spinning and balancing on the bike. Ucchie to select eight best videos, following which the athletes shall join him for a special master class.
On 10th June the Indian athletes shall meet Ucchie and discuss the growing trend for this underground sport in India, while additionally showcasing their skills to Ucchie. On 11th June Ucchie to mentor and train the Indian BMX athletes and share with them insights and tips to better their technique. On the final day – 12th June, Ucchie along with the talented Indian BMX Flatland athletes to showcase a performance like never before!
