MC Mary Kom writing a book to share her story with the world

Ace Indian pugilist and London Olympics bronze medallist MC Mary Kom will write a book on her life.  Sanjay Leela Bhansali is already making a movie on her life, says a report in The Times of India.

"I'm very happy that there's a movie being made on me. But this book will have minute details about my childhood, my journey, and the hard work that has made me what I am today," she was quoted in the report.

On the effect that the Olympic medal has had on her life, she said, “Nobody knew about me before but now everyone knows who I am. The movie and the book I am writing will help in showing my struggle to the world.”

“Mary is being helped by a leading publishing house in writing and editing and the book is expected to be released by next year,” says the report.

On whether she will play a role if offered of a narrator in the film being made on her life, she said, “"If given the chance, maybe. I don't know because facing the camera is difficult, just like walking the ramp was!”
