Hanson’s Rest of the World team beats Indian team in Hero Skills Challenge

Bengaluru: The Rest of the World team led by Ryder Cup star, Peter Hanson, defeated the Hero Indian team 3-1 in the Skills Challenge which marked the start of the week of the Hero Indian Open.


The Rest of the World team comprising, Hanson, European Masters winner, Richie Ramsay and defending Hero Indian Open champion, David Gleeson of Australia lost the first skill ‘Driving’, but then won the next three, ‘The Approach Shot’, ‘Bunker Shot’ and ‘Long Putt’.


The Indian team comprised Shiv Kapur, Gaganjeet Bhullar and Anirban Lahiri.


The highlight of the evening was the Bunker Shot, where David Gleeson, Peter Hanson and Shiv Kapur holed their respective shots and Anirban Lahiri missed by millimetres.


The winning team won Rs. 3.3 lakhs and the losing team got Rs. 1.1 lakhs. The Prizes were given away by Mr. Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO of Hero MotoCorp.
