Nandininagar joins as Indian Wrestling League Franchisee

New Delhi: Nandininagar, a township between Faizabad and Gonda, has come on board as the UP Franchisee of Indian Wrestling League (IWL).

Team from Nandininagar is owned by Brij Bhusan Saran Singh, MP and President WFI. When contacted, Singh said, “Nandininagar has hosted a few National Championships and the craze and popularity of Wrestling even in such state oriented National meet is overwhelming. Each day over 30,000 spectators always attended to cheer their heroes in such meet and therefore our Franchisee comprising of Indian and overseas stalwarts would generate tremendous involvement and participation of wrestling loving citizens of all age group of Nandininagar”. “UP Tiger would be the name of our Franchisee” he ended.

Welcoming the team G.S. Mander, Chairman IWL said, “Both WFI and LSM are happy that a team from one of the most wrestling crazy centers has joined the IWL”.

It may be recalled that Jindal Steel Work (JSW) headed by Sajjan Jindal was one of the few others who have confirmed their participation earlier in this 6 franchisee owned league commencing on 16th Jan 2013.

When contacted Parth Jindal, Director JSW said “JSW is very excited at the prospect of of not only getting involved with the Indian Wrestling League but also being able to partner the Wrestling Federation in all it's good work. We believe that the wrestling league can change the future of the sport in the country by popularizing the sport further and are honoured to be a part of this league from the very beginning.

We hope that through this league India can secure more Olympic medals in the future."
