Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai: Veena Malik & Poonam Pandey used cricket, controversies & nudity to make an entry into Bollywood

No girl has used cricket better to earn fame and fortune than Poonam Pandey and Veena Malik. Both an unknown entity till a few years ago --- one (Poonam) a small time model whose only name to fame was her modelling assignment for Kingfisher calendar and other Veena – a small time Pakistani actress who never had anything worth to boost about. But today, thanks to cricket, both are not only known figures with media given them proper attention, they have both have been able to grab meaty roles in Bollywood movies as well. Veena wil  soon be seen in Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai while Poonam has already grabbed the eyeballs by revealing about her steamy sex scene in yet to be named movie.

The senior amongst the two, Veena, came into limelight when she declared her affair with tainted Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. Once supposed to be her sweetheart, Veena went against Asif when he was caught in a match fixing scandal and later in dope controversies. She hogged the limelight by saying that she had warned her boyfriend of the consequences and broke off when he didn’t pay heed. Her instant fame bagged her an entry in the Indian reality show Big Boss IV and later her bold acts in the house and her alleged closeness with Asmit Patel, an inmate in the house, made her an instant hit with the publc and the media. And that opened her entry into the Bollywood and now after doing some item numbers, she is set to play a double role in Daal Mai Kuch Kaala Hai.

Meanwhile known for her bold moves and comments, Poonam Pandey who is ever ready to shed off her clothes at the drop of a hat, the Kingfisher model who is about to make her debut in Bollywood made headlines once again by saying the her sex scene in her debut movie will be the best scene to have ever been shot in Bollywood. “Sex was never as neat as the movies made it. Real sex was messy. Good sex was messier. But in my Debut Film its gonna be the Best,” tweeted Poonam.

Having learnt the art of hogging limelight ever since she declared to go nude in front of the cricket stadium if India won the World Cup last year, Poonam has mastered the ways of using cricket and raunchy comments to keep herself in circulation. Poonam, who stripped naked after SRK's Kolkata Knight Riders won IPL 5 and has now signed her first Bollywood film According to reports her debut movie, to be helmed by the Jism director Amit Saxena, is reportedly going to have a lot steamy scenes. Poonam Pandey is the only one to be cast as of now, and the director says that the rest of the actors will be finalised shortly.

Poonam Pandey for sure knows how to grab eyeballs. A few days earlier, the sexy actress after her bold act where she posted her nude picture on twitter after Kolkata Knight Riders won the Indian Premier League season five overtook porn star Sunny Leone in terms of popularity on the social networking site. Pandey has 241, 959 followers on the social media site compared to Leone’s 230, 109 followers according to a media reports.

Pandey posted her nude picture a day after KKR won the IPL-5 and she was number four in India trends. Both the ladies have been in the news for their debut films. While Sunny Leone's Jism 2 will hit the theatres on August 3, 2012, Poonam Pandey's debut venture directed by Amit Saxena will release sometime in December. Earlier, there was news of the two films clashing at the BO.

If anyone who has learnt the art of using nudity to keep herself in limelight, it has to be Pooonam Pandey. Once a little know model who had done some shoots for a Kingfisher calendar, mastered the art of using cricket as a ladder to fame.
