From Big B to Boman Irani, Bollywood go gaga over Sania-Bhupathi’s French Open title; wife Lara happy & proud of Mahesh

Mumbai: Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi did India proud by winning the coveted French Open title by defeating Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Klaudia Jans-Ignacik of Poland in the final Thursday at Roland Garros. And having a wife from the Bollywood, it’s but natural that Mahesh Bhupathi’s feat would be celebrated in the Hindi film industry in a different way. Taking the twitter route, wife Lara Dutta said that she was the proudest and happiest wife in the world. Joining Lara in congratulating Mahesh-Sania for their feat, stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Riteish Deshmukh, Mandira Bedi among others said they were proud to be Indians.

Lara Dutta twitted that she woke up to a flood of congratulatory messages. “Thank you everyone! Daughter is wondering what the hulaballoo is all about in the guava orchard. I am the proudest, happiest wife tonite Mahesh Bhupathi. You are Saira's hero."

Meanwhile Big B wrote: “Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi win the mixed doubles final at Roland Garros Tennis...Yippee! BUCK UP INDIA!”

Newly married Riteish Deshmukh too sent a huge congratulatory message to the winners Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza for Grand Slam title, while Dia Mirza just twitted congratulations to the duo.

Neha Dhupia wrote that big congratulations to my friends Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi and that you have made us all so proud, while Boman Irani twitted that Mahesh Bhupathi we are so very proud of you.

Meanwhile Manoj Bajpayee twitted: Good morning! congratulations to Mahesh Bhupati and Sania Mirza on wining the French Open, while Rannvijay Singh thanked the winning duo for making India proud.
