IPL was always going to be a hit because it is cricket and that is what everyone wants to see in India. Now that IPL is over and SRK is on cloud nine after his team Kolkata Knight Riders won the coveted trophy, he is now showing his interests in football as well.
According to reports, Shah Rukh in most probability has made a move to by 50 per cent stake in the I-League champions Dempo SC. Shah Rukh’s influence will surely help football, but there is something big in store for the most loved game of the world in India. King Khan’s arch-rival Salman Khan too in an interview has made his intentions clear for coming on board for the cause of football in India. He said earlier that he wanted football and basketball to grow as a sport in India. So here SRK will have a competition from Sallu bhai for sure.
SRK and Salman have had their problems in the past and they have tried their best to avoid each other, but if Salman sticks to his earlier thought, he might come up against his old nemesis Shah Rukh. One thing is for sure that if that happens, football will be a big gainer. Both are superstars with a big fan following and their association with the game came make it a big hit like their movies.
