Tendulkar’s 100th stint fetches painting worth $750,000

New Delhi: British Artist Sacha Jafri's another master piece that portrayed our very own Sachin Tendulkar's 100th international ton, has fetched $750,000.

Jafri, who exhibited his painting at Art Dubai which opened on Tuesday, has said he will donate the money to MS Dhoni Foundation that provides food, water and shelter to the poor and the needy.

The painting also has handprints of 40 world famous cricketers including MS Dhoni, Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid, Wasim Akram, Shahid Afridi, Courtney Walsh and Andrew Strauss.

Jafri has interestingly used a canvas of a dozen cricket bats signed by the 12 top run scorers of all time and six cricket balls signed by the top six wicket takers of all time, uniquely sewn into the canvas to make the frame of the masterpiece.
