Kolkata: The Delhi lad, Avinash Kumar, mesmerized the cue sports fraternity by exhibiting excellent potting skills and the way he played throughout the junior snooker discipline in the BRC-GLOSTER National Billiards & Snooker Championship here at Bengal Rowing Club, Kolkata.
Yesterday he reached into top 4 without losing a single frame and after that he clears all three round robin matches to become Junior National champion.
In the round robin stage, he first defeated M.L. Laxman of Karnatak 4-1 and then today he beat Hritik Jain (Madhya Pradesh) 4-2 and S. Shrikrishna (Tamil Nadu) 4-1.
There was three-way tie among Hritik, Laxman and Srikrishna and on frames average, Hritik Jain becomes 2 and Shrikrishna No.3.
