New Delhi: Three Chinese cueists reaching in semi finals of 2012 IBSF World Under-21 Snooker championship helped China to secure 153 ranking points and now China, with total 254 points, stands on top position in 2012 IBSF Ranking for Under-21. China was at No.3 after last year’s performance and had 101 points. The total points are awarded on the performance of countries in 2012 (Wuxi) and 2011 (Montreal) championships.
Thailand is third time retained No.2 position with total 232 points. Prior to this, Thailand stood on Rank 2 after Montreal and Letterkenny Championships.
After Montreal championship, England reached top position from #3 has now again slipped to position No.3 with total 159 points.
On the other hand, Ireland, Wales, Hong Kong and Israel managed to retain their 4th, 5th, 10th and 12th positions respectively.
India performed exceptionally well and jumped 14 positions with 104 points to reach at No.6 after previous best of 20 whereas Northern Ireland slipped to 14th position after previous best of 9.
