Frank Williams will leave their board of directors, announced the Williams team. He however, will be with the team as the team principal and will continue to attend the board meetings.

Frank Williams was the founder of the Williams team in the year 1977. Williams said that in April he will turn 70 and thinks it is the right time for him to move and the young generation to step in. He thinks that it is the gradual process of handling the responsibility to the other people.

He also said that the move is not as dramatic as it may appear. Frank’s daughter Claire will take over his position and will represent the family in the board.

Williams said that he is proud of her achievement and is very happy that the board decided on her name.
