The epic event which is all set to make India’s sporting scene perpetual in the history books promises is certainly something which the whole of India was looking forward to this year.

The Indian Grand Prix is expected to change India’s sporting scene forever and would definitely make it a force to reckon to global sports map.

Here is what the drivers have to say about the inaugural Indian Grand Prix:

Michael Schumacher:  Team Mercedes

It is very exciting to be here in India for the race. Even though I did not see the track yet, it seems very interesting and I am looking forward to it. I hope to put my best and entertain the crowd. I am hoping to have an enjoyable weekend.

Nico Rosberg: Team Mercedes

This is my first time in India and I am very excited about it. I heard so many things about India and now I am able to see it for myself. I drove on simulators and the track looks great. It has lot of fast sectors and long corners and it there would be lot of overtaking chances.

Fernando Alonso:  Team Ferrari

The track is somewhat similar to the other tracks that Hermann Tilke’s other tracks. But this looks little bit more interesting especially the last sector. It looks very quick but reality is very different to the simulator, so we will see tomorrow

Lewis Hamilton: Team McLaren

I am really excited by the fast corners. We just hope to put up a good show and enjoy the crowd throughout the weekend.

Jenson Button: Team McLaren

It is a great track and a very good one for us. I particularly worked on the simulators and can say that it is like the old styled tracks where there would be lot of overtaking. I can relate this track to Suzuka and Spa Francorchamp and really like the blind entry to the Turn 3 hairpin, which is at the crest of a hill.
