Internal Casino Days Data Revealed in Industry Report
A recently published industry report by SevenJackpots analyzes 10-months worth of internal online casino operator data on turnovers and active user sessions for the period between January 1 and October 31, 2022, shared by the Casino Days online casino platform.
The insights into real-life desi casino gaming preferences reveal that game shows, roulette and blackjack are the three most sought after i-gaming categories which have a combined contribution of 73.5% or almost three quarters of registered casino operator turnovers.
Game shows are in essence an innovative genre that adapts evergreen TV game show concepts like “The Wheel of Fortune” or “Deal or No Deal” into a casino game format with live game presenters and gaming elements such as money wheels, dice, coins and cards, and lots of interactive features.
The new casino gaming category attracts the biggest share of turnovers and tops the chart with a contribution of 34.48%.
Roulette games are the second most massive revenue contributor with a weight of 22.91%. This category contains the biggest individual game in terms of generated turnovers - Lightning Roulette developed by the Evolution studios.
This game alone is responsible for 15.68% of the turnovers within the elite group of 22 games that have a turnover share of more than 1%, as well as 20.62% of the turnovers generated by the whole family of games by Evolution.
Blackjack games follow the roulette category with a still sizable share of 16.11%, ahead of baccarat games (7.45%) and slots (4.59%).
Asian and Indian-origin games Sic Bo (3.06%), Andar Bahar (2.97%), Dragon Tiger (2.27%), and Teen Patti (1.67%) occupy the next positions together with Hold’em Poker with a share of 2.69%.
Other poker derivatives such as Triple Card (0.69%) and Stud (0.14%) are also represented in the chart.
Lightning Roulette Tops the Individual Game Rankings
Looking at the most popular among the 5,500 individual game titles offered on the Casino Days online casino platform arranged by turnover shares, we see Lighting Roulette topping the chart with a contribution of 13.94%.
Evolution’s live game with black-and-gold design is backed up by two other roulette titles in the Top 5 games: Auto-Roulette with a turnover share of 5.53% and classic Roulette with a share of 4.03%.
The game show Crazy Time, again developed by Evolution, is the second biggest game in terms of turnover generation (6.67%). Notably, Crazy Time has been played by almost the same number of active users on the platform as Lightning Roulette (33.47% and 33.61% respectively, including recurring players).
Andar Bahar finishes the Top 5 with a turnover share of 2.54% and a massive active user share of 20.17%.
A dice game - Lightning Dice, appears among the games that have attracted substantial player interest beyond the 10 percent mark (13.21%), even though the turnover contribution is relatively small (1.08%).
“Real-money gamers in India have also developed a liking for roulettes, game-show wheels, and quick-play card games. Desi gambler communities follow and drive these global market trends, pushing gaming studios to create even more dynamic, colorful, and engaging games,” the SevenJackpots industry report comments.
“The Indian market shows remarkable maturity levels, with players ready for next-generation gaming products and solutions. Industry regulation remains sub-par, but as it often happens, market forces can evoke legislative changes sooner or later,” the report concludes.
