New Zealand’s Teghbir Singh wins overall trophy on concluding day of 12th Chandigarh Golfing Tour

Chandigarh Golf TourChandigarh: Teghbir Singh from New Zealand won the overall trophy on the concluding day of 12th Chandigarh Golfing Tour at the Panchkula Golf course, on Sunday.

Raj Klair from Toronto finished runners-up. In the 0-9 handicap category, both the players scored 153 gross totals to claim the first-two positions.

Aadil Bedi and Tavleen Batra were adjudged the budding golfers of the championship. Sarif Baksh won the longest drive event with 298 yards shot while Manraj Natt won the closest to the pin award (14 feet).

CSR Reddy President CGA said, “This type of tournament will promote ties between budding Indian golfers playing abroad and NRI golfers residing overseas. This will also result in providing boarding and lodging to youngsters. This event will promote business in the hospitality sector.”
