Kolkata: The 71st All India Railway Football Championship hosted by South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA) concluded at SERSA Stadium, Kharagpur on Saturday.

The final match was played between South Eastern Railway and Western Railway. During the schedule time, the match ended 1 - 1. In the extra time both the teams scored 1 goal each and the game concluded with 2-2. The decision was made through tie-breaker where Western Railway scored 5 goals while South Eastern Railway scored 4 goals. As a result, Western Railway bagged Championship trophy defeating South Eastern Railway by 7 – 6(in total) in the 71st All India Railway Football Championship. .

Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala came in third position defeating North East Frontier Railway by 2-0.

Radhey Shyam, General Manager, South Eastern Railway graced the occasion as Chief Guest and handed over the winner’s trophy.
