Dhruv Pandove Trophy: Punjab beat Odisha on first innings lead

Patiala: Resuming at overnight 18 for 2, Odisha went on to score 214 all out in 84.3 overs against Punjab in the 3rd Under-19 All India Invitation Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy at Dhruv Pandove Stadium, Patiala on Wednesday.

They were helped in their cause by Subranshu Senapati  48 and Ranjit Singh   39 who put on 66 runs for the fourth wicket. For Punjab, left-arm spinner Arjun Kumar scalped five wickets for 62 runs and was ably supported by Karan Kaila  (2 for 56) and Sukhwinder Singh (2 for 53).

Punjab in their 2nd innings  scored 61 for no loss when the stumps were drawn. Prabhjot remained unbeaten on 39 off 52 balls inclusive of five boundaries and Mandeep Inder Bawa  16 not out with two boundaries. The match ended in a draw and Punjab got 3 points for their first innings lead and Odisha got  (01).
