Hyderabad: B. Anand Naik of Kodad won the AP State rapid chess championship by scoring six points out of six rounds on Friday.
G. Srinivas of Hyderabad was second with five points and N. Venumadhav of Karimnagar third with 4.5 points.
The top two players — B. Anand Naik and G. Srinvas — will represent Andhra Pradesh in National rapid chess championship at Jaipur from April 20.
In the blitz category, Anand, Venumadhav, Srinivas and Kotha Surya of Guntur tied for first place with four points each from five rounds.
