Chennai: Railway Protection Force gave out a 2-0 defeat to Central Excise in a senior division match of the St. Joseph's-Chennai Football Association league championship at the Nehru Stadium on Sunday.

Six minutes before the break, Central Excise got the best chance to equalise. A nice run from the left by Aseem saw Selvaganesh bringing down the former inside the box. Kumaran's spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Akhil Soman, who dived brilliantly to his right to push the ball away.
