kolkata-knight-ridersKolkata Knight Riders seems to have hit a purple patch and continue to look dangerous as a team as they have almost sealed a place in the play-offs. The team has peaked at the right moment and have won five games in a row which makes them one of the contenders for the title, given the form they are in right now. Royal Challengers Bangalore on the other hand seems to have missed the bus and are only in with a chance depending on the other results and provided that they win all their games from now on.

Here is a look at the players to watch out for in the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Robin Uthappa: Robin Uthappa is one of the reasons why KKR has been doing so well off late and his form with the bat seems to be getting better and better. Uthappa can take on the bowlers early on and can get his team off to a flying start.

Gautam Gambhir: The captain has struck form all of a sudden in the tournament after scoring three ducks in a row. Gambhir is a big match player and knows how to pick himself up in crucial stages of the game. To add to that he has tons of experience of playing at the top of the order.

Sunil Narine: Sunil Narine is by far the best bowler in the Indian Premier league since its inception along with Lasith Malinga. Narine can fox the batsmen and can get a wicket in any stage of the game. His greatest strength is his consistency which gives his captain the assurance of relying on him.

Pat Cummins:
Cummins can extract some serious pace of the track and can pick up early wickets by getting the ball to move from the pitch. Cummins has looked good in the first match he played against Chennai Super Kings and is looking set for many more.
Bangalore Royal Challengers:

Virat Kohli:
Virat Kohli seems to hit form in the last match and on his day he can make mince meat of any attack. Kohli’s form will make Bangalore feel good which in turn can also make him a much more confident captain in the matches to come.

Yuvraj Singh:
Yuvraj Singh has been in terrific form off late and can take the match away from the opposition within a blink of an eye. His left-arm spin can also come in handy as the pitches are starting to offer some assistance to the spinners as well.

Muttiah Murlitharan:
Muttiah Murlitharan so far has looked good with the ball in hand. Well he might not have the same spring in his stride but still a handy bowler with all the experience he has of playing international matches for almost two decades.

Mitchel Starc:
Starc has looked aggressive with the ball in hand for Royal Challengers Bangalore and has the ability to strike early as well as at the end of the innings. Starc needs to a bit more consistent but nonetheless a bowler to watch out for in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
