HITS

MS Dhoni: Dhoni once again proved his mettle as he smashed 58 runs off 35 balls. He didn’t allow the bowlers to settle down in the death overs and kept hammering them all over the ground. His innings turned out to be the match winner for CSK.

Mohit Sharma: Sharma provided early breakthroughs which stunned DD. He removed Virender Sehwag and Unmukt Chand quite cheaply which brought DD under pressure.

David Warner: Warner showed some fighting abilities but ran out of partners at regular intervals. He scored 44 runs off 37 balls and kept the score board ticking till the time he stayed at the crease.

R Ashwin: Ashwin bowled well in this match and claimed couple of wickets in his four overs. He gave away 19 runs and picked up the wicket of Johan Botha and Van Der Merwe.

Murali Vijay: Vijay came out well once again as he scored 31 runs off 23 balls. He was looking in aggressive mood and kept scoring those odd boundaries.

Umesh Yadav: Yadav bowled well to bag two wickets and gave away 26 runs. He has been mediocre in this season if IPL but he did make a strong comeback with this performance.

Albie Morkel: Morkel was once again outstanding with the ball as he completely broke the spine of the DD as he got Jadhav, Rohrer and Warner out. He ended up with the figures of 3/32 after his four overs.

Dwayne Bravo: Bravo was once again stunning with his all-round performance. He scored 12 runs while batting and took two wickets while bowling. He was mixing the ball quite well which allowed him to put pressure on the Delhi batsmen.

FLOPS

Suresh Raina: Raina once again failed to deliver the bat as he got out after scoring just seven runs. He was sent to dug-out by Van der Merwe.

Virender Sehwag: His flop-show continued for one more time as he got dismissed for duck. He got tempted by the short and wide delivery which took the toe of his bat and went to Dhoni’s gloves.

Kedar Jadhav: Jadhav didn’t contribute much with the bat as he departed after scoring two runs as he was quizzed by Morkel very well and got his wicket in the end. He has been consistent in the last few matches but in this game, he failed to do much.

Ben Rohrer: Rohrer failed to fire in this match as he was dismissed for just four runs. Morkel bowled brilliantly to get rid of him.

Ashish Nehra: Nehra had a same story once again and he was hit for boundaries quite consistently. He gave away 37 runs in his four overs and failed to pick up any wicket.
