Here we bring to you the hits and flops of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

HITS

Suresh Raina: Raina played a mind-boggling knock of 99 runs which was studded with 11 fours and three sixes. He single-handedly smoked away Sunrisers Hyderabad from this match. Apart from his batting, his energy on the field was exceptional after playing that sensational knock. He also picked up a wicket in the only over that he bowled in the match.

Mike Hussey: Hussey has been the hero in almost all the matches won by Chennai Super Kings this season as he keeps on piling heaps of runs. He played a scintillating knock of 67 runs off just 42 balls which was decorated with five fours and four sixes.

Parthiv Patel: Patel didn’t lose hope and fought back for SRH with his 44 runs off just 28 balls. He took the counter-attack on CSK’s bowlers. But he failed to find partners at other end because of which he got under the pressure while chasing a humungous total of 224 runs.

Dale Steyn: Steyn was absolutely brilliant with the ball as he gave away just 17 runs in his four overs. He did his job well to contain the batsmen but other bowlers failed to capitalise on that.

Mohit Sharma: Sharma bowled brilliantly and dismissed Parthiv Patel and Darren Sammy in his final over. He gave away 28 runs in his four overs and showed that he can be lethal in the initial overs of the innings.

Ravichandran Ashwin: Ashwin was at his usual best as he gave away just 23 runs in his four overs. he picked up the wicket of Kumar Sangakkara and made sure that SRH aren't be able to bounce back in this match.

Thisara Perera: Perera was expensive with the ball but he managed to get three wickets of CSK batsmen. He ended up with the bowling figures of 3/45 after his four overs. He also contributed with the bat as he scored 23 runs off 13 balls that he faced.

FLOPS

Ishant Sharma: Ishant Sharma was smacked quite mercilessly by Suresh Raina because of which he ended up with the figures of 66/0 after his four overs. He didn’t try to bowl a single slow ball or even a bouncer against Raina and kept on bowling way outside the off-stump. He now holds the record of most expensive bowler in the history of IPL.

MS Dhoni: Dhoni was caught inches away from the boundary while he was going for a big hit. He departed after scoring just four runs. However, he did brilliant work behind the wickets by getting rid of Shikhar Dhawan early in the innings.

Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan got run out and departed after scoring just three runs. He didn’t have much to do as Patel called him for taking a quick leg bye but Dhoni hit the stumps to send him back to the dug-out.

Kumar Sangakkara: Sangakkara had another terrible day with the bat as he scored three runs in this must win match. He hasn’t played a single match winning innings so far which is very disappointing for the player of his calibre.

Darren Sammy: Sammy had a very bad day both with the ball as well as bat. He gave away 33 runs in his two overs and contributed just seven runs with the bat. He needs to get back in good touch otherwise his team would find it difficult to reach the play-offs this year.

Amit Mishra: Mishra has been highly disappointing with the ball since last few matches. He got smacked for 42 runs in his four overs. All his variations went in vain as Hussey and Raina kept thrashing him all over the park in his spell of four overs.
