India will take on Pakistan in Group 2 match of ICC T20 World Cup. The whole world will stop whene these two arch-rivals will meet in what will most proabably deside the future of these teams in this World Cup.
The game is more important to Indians than the Pakistanis as India lost their first encounter against Australia whereas Pakistan won their Super Eight match against South Africa in a close fought contest. These two teams are among the favourites to qualify for the last four teams and neiter team will give an inch in this match.
Both teams have some genuine match winners in their side, let’s have a look at some of them:
India:
Gautam Gambhir: He found some form against England and looked in good touch against Australia before getting himself run-out. Gambhir is a big match player and has always done well against Pakistan. It was Gambhir who played a decisive innings against Pakistan in the inaugural World T20 finals and MS Dhoni will be expecting one such effort from him.
Virat Kohli: He is in a great knick and there is nobody who seems capable of stopping him from scoring runs. Kohli was frustarated the way he got out against the Australians and will be looking to make a huge contribution in this match.
R Ashwin: He failed against Australians but will start the match as India’s best hope against the strong Pakistani batting line up. Ashwin struggled in the last match because of the wet ball, but he can be a real threat on the slow Premdasa wicket with a dry ball.
Irfan Pathan: He only bowled one over in the previous match and was hit for a couple of sixes by Watson. Pathan is most dangerous when he takes the new ball and has a good record bowling against Pakistan.
Pakistan:
Kamran Akmal: . He played a match winning innings against the Indians in the warm-up game and his captain will be expecting him to replicate his performance. He is one of the most dangerous batsmen in the Pakistani line-up. Akmal likes lifting the bowlers over the top and is equally effective against both fast bowling and spinners.
Mohammed Hafeez: The captain will lead the charge for Pakistan. Hafeez is a very intelligent cricketer and has the ability to play according to the situation. He has been in some good bowling form and is one of the most economical bowlers going around.
Saeed Ajmal: He is probably the most dangerous bowler in this tournament. Ajmal had a tremendous year in all the three formats and he is a genuine match winner. He loves a challenge and bowling against indians will surely be a tough challenge.
Shahid Afridi: He might be struggling with the bat, but has been very effective with the ball. Afridi can turn a course of the match in his four overs. He has a lot of experience playing against the Indians and the Men-In-Blue will need to play him well in this match.
