On Saturday when the world would witness one heck of a match, few people would know about a secret rivalry. For some it's Manchester Derby, where two heavyweights Manchester United and Manchester City would face each other. For some it's a fight between two coveted managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.
But a Swede has other plans. On saturday it would be Zlatan Ibrahimovic Vs Pep Guardiola. Six seasons ago, when Pep Guardiola was manager of Barcelona and former was the striker, Guardiola always thought Zlatan was a misfit in Barcelona culture and he never liked his wild ways and went about disciplining him, while, Zlatan accuses him of abandoning him after signing him from Inter Milan in 2009.
One of the major reasons for hatred was Lionel Messi, at a time when Zlatan was scoring well for Barca, Messi decided to play in centre which eventually pushed Zlatan to play in wings and decision got a thumbs up from Guardiola.
The player and coach relation hit a new low when during mid season of 2009-2010 Zlatan was no longer in starting eleven. And in a match against Villareal he was spotted kicking a kit box after playing for last five minutes.
As Zlatan says his career has been built on desire to strike back. He did face Guardiola a few times, but lost 3-2 in Milan Vs Barcelona in group stage of Champions League. They faced in quarter final, too, but Zlatan lost again 3-1 in return leg. With Rooney and Pogba, Mourinho's guidance, can Zlatan do it?
When two teams would line up against each other, Zlatan would look to seek redemption and prove Pep Guardiola what he was missing in Barcelona.
